Kimberley Cook,
CSPWC, primarily lets her experiences tell the
story of each painting. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta,
Kimberley worked as an Architectural draftsperson for 13 years,
and made the switch to fine arts in 1996, and has been painting
full time ever since.
She loves to take an intimate look at the things that inspire
and matter to her and portrays them with sensitivity and
feeling. Whether in watercolour or oil, her painting style is
about letting the paint take her on an uncontrolled ride of
discovery.
Although she paints in watercolour and acrylic, her medium of
choice is "oil". Kimberley's favourite subjects to paint are the
garden, marinescapes, cityscapes and the human figure, and loves
the challenge of the landscape and still life.
